Innovation & Technology Council: "Moving Forward on Immigration"

The Innovation & Technology Council at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce identifies and engages with business clusters that have economic growth potential — including signature, emerging and innovative industry groups. The Council aims to promote policies that will strengthen these industries, elevate their global reach, drive job creation and regional economic prosperity.

Join us Nov. 4 for an "Immigration and Technology" panel hosted in partnership with the Los Angeles chapter of FWD.us. ITC chair Steve Nissen, senior vice president of legal and government affairs at NBC Universal, will moderate.

The agenda includes:

  • An introduction to FWD.us and its operations in Southern California
  • a showcase of technology tools that facilitate advocacy around immigration reform
  • the startup visa program, who it will benefit, and our work around it
  • and a Q&A with the immigrant founders of two tech companies about their products and the path they took to establish their companies in LA as foreign-born entrepreneurs

Online registration ends Nov. 4.
